Uluru AKA Ayers Rock is EPIC! It\u2019s rusty red beauty makes it world famous for many reasons, and it\u2019s said to be an ancient 550 milllion years old! This place is 100% bucket list material and we’re gonna tell you how to go and see it with your own eyes!<\/p>\n

Lets gooooooooooooooo…<\/p>\n What is Uluru? <\/strong>It was named Ayers Rock by settlers (this is probs what you’ve heard it called), but its aboriginal name is Uluru.<\/p>\n Brief history:<\/strong><\/p>\n Uluru is sacred to the\u00a0Pitjantjatjara\u00a0Anangu, the\u00a0Aboriginal people\u00a0of the area.<\/p>\n Aboriginal people have lived in the area around Ulur<\/u>u and Kata Tjut<\/u>a (a group of large domed rock formations near by) for at least 30,000 years.<\/p>\n The Central Australian landscape, where Uluru is located,\u00a0is believed to have been created at the beginning of time by ancestral beings.<\/p>\n Where?\u00a0<\/strong>Uluru is located in the Red Centre, Northern Territory.<\/p>\n You’ll find it in the World Heritage listed site of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park that stretches a whopping 311,000 acres!!<\/p>\n It is 348 m high and measures 9.4 km in circumference. Told you it was huge!<\/p>\n We recommend hoping on a tour.
